A group of 15 swimmers from across the province selected from our Ulster schools secondary gala intermediate and senior medalists enjoyed the opportunity of 3 days of long course training in the London Aquatics center. For many this was their first visit to the Olympic park and all swimmers enjoyed the whole experience. The highlight of the trip was meeting Tom Daly and Rebecca Adlington, their inspirational talks were greatly appreciated by swimmers and staff alike, having an opportunity to watch these Olympians train spured our swimmers to train even harder! The swimmers enjoyed an educational tour around London visiting Downing Street, Buckingham Palace and the Mall to mention but a few! Swimmers had the opportunity to meet swimmers from other clubs and it was lovely to see new friendships develop during the 3 days. The group were a credit to their families, clubs and most importantly their schools. We look forward to our London 2018 trip which will be selected at our Ulster schools gala later this academic year.
